CHARLOTTE, NC TOUR STOP CANCELLED

The November 20th 'In Solvent See' Tour date at the Tremont Music Hall in Charlotte, North Carolina has been cancelled. Ticket refunds will be made at the point of purchase, according to Tremont's website.

'LAST RIGHTS' RELEASED ON DOUBLE VINYL

After being voted on by the fans over at Litany.net, Nettwerk has decided to release a double vinyl of 'Last Rights' on November 10, 2009. Pre-orders are now being taken by Amazon.com. No indication as to what the exact cover art will be, but it's highly doubtful Jim "I, Braineater" Cummins' original masterpiece for this album will be overlooked.

SPECIAL NOTE: This release still does not include the infamous "Track 10" better known as "Left Hand Shake" for reasons unknown.

MESSAGE FROM THE BAND

A public message was released concerning what's going on with Skinny Puppy's upcoming album. Their manager, Jeff, issued this statement:

I just wanted to attempt to make everyone aware of the current situation that Skinny Puppy is in. Due to the fact that SPV filed for insolvency earlier in the year the new Skinny Puppy LP will not be out in time for the tour. We have been in discussion with SPV and had hoped to find a solution to the mess they have put us in, but it looks as though things will not get sorted out until years end. We have meetings set with them in the near future and I hope to be able to let everyone know that things will be back on track soon. Songs have been recorded and artwork has been worked on and once we resolve the issues we have with SPV we will release them.

None of the issues with SPV will jeopardize this tour. The band is really excited to get out and play and we think this is going to be a tour to remember!!

Everybody in the Puppy camp wants to let you know that we always appreciate the support and we are looking forward to the "In Solvent See Tour" as much as any tour we have ever done.

KEN "HIWATT" MARSHALL & TIM HILL ON BOARD FOR UPCOMING TOUR

Long-time PUPPY friend Ken "Hiwatt" Marshall, who produced cEvin Key's 'The Dragon Experience' release and did the live mixing for the European leg of the 2007 Mythrus Tour, is now confirmed to live mix the entire In Solvent See Tour. Check out thehumblebrothers.com for more.

As well, Tim Hill, who did the backing visuals for the 2007 Mythrus Tour and the 2008 'DIMD' Tour for ohGr, will be returning to visualize for the 'In Solvent See' Tour. Tim's solo project 'Rim' and more info can be found at myspace.com/timhillav.

FLORIDA'S JANUS LANDING SP SHOW MOVED

Tickets are now on sale for the November 28th SKINNY PUPPY 'In Solvent See' Tour 2009 show at the State Theater in St. Petersburg, Florida. The previous listing as Janus Landing was moved to this new location.

SPV "BATTLE OF THE BANDS: FAN APPRECIATION CONTEST"

Here's your chance to create a tribute to SKINNY PUPPY! It's the "Battle of the Bands: Fan Appreciation Contest" and straight from the SPV's mouth, here are some quick details:

"This is very open ended, and we encourage participants to be creative, humorous, and think outside the box. Some examples are creating a video, writing an essay about what the band means to you, creating a piece of art, inventing a dance, writing a song, drawing a picture, etc."

The deadline for entries is May 1, 2009 and only open to residents of North America. Only one submission will be accepted per person.

Winners will be chosen by the employees of SPV by voting on their favorite submissions. Decisions will primarily be based on creativity and effort.
